The Hill House Bar: Espresso Martini

How to Prepare:

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Tito’s Vodka
  • 1 oz Vanilla Vodka
  • 1 oz Mr. Black’s Coffee Liqueur
  • 1 oz Gold Brew Espresso, cooled
  • 0.5 oz Rich Demerara Syrup
  • 2 dashes Chocolate Bitters
  • Coffee beans, for garnish

Equipment:

  • Shaker
  • Mixing glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Strainer
  • Martini glass

Instructions:

  1. Chill your martini glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes.
  2. In a mixing glass, combine the Tito’s Vodka, Vanilla Vodka, Mr. Black’s Coffee Liqueur, Gold Brew Espresso, and Rich Demerara Syrup.
  3. Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture using a bar spoon for about 20-30 seconds. This will chill and dilute the ingredients while ensuring a well-mixed cocktail.
  4. After stirring, add the chocolate bitters to the mixture and gently stir again to incorporate.
  5. Remove the chilled martini glass from the freezer and strain the mixed cocktail into the glass, using a strainer to catch any ice shards.
  6. Garnish your Vanilla Espresso Martini with a few coffee beans placed delicately on the surface of the drink.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your indulgent Vanilla Espresso Martini with a delightful chocolate accent.

Hill House Note:

  • If you prefer a slightly sweeter cocktail, you can adjust the amount of Rich Demerara Syrup to your taste.
  • You can make Rich Demerara Syrup by combining equal parts Demerara sugar and water in a saucepan, heating until the sugar is dissolved, and then letting it cool before use.
  • Gold Brew Espresso can be prepared using your preferred espresso brewing method. Allow it to cool before using it in the cocktail.
