The Hill House Bar: Orangery Martini


How to Prepare:

Ingredients:

  • 1.5oz Blood Orange Vodka
  • 0.5oz Napoleon Liqueur
  • 0.5oz Lillet Blanc
  • 0.5oz Peche de Vigne (Peach Liqueur)
  • 1oz fresh orange juice
  • 0.5oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 mandarine segment (for muddling)
  • 2 dashes of bergamot bitters
  • Ice
  • Orange twist (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing glass, muddle the mandarine segment gently to release its juices and aroma.
  2. Add the Blood Orange Vodka, Napoleon Liqueur, Lillet Blanc, Peche de Vigne, fresh orange juice, and fresh lemon juice to the mixing glass.
  3. Fill the mixing glass with ice and then stir the mixture using a long cocktail spoon. Stir for about 20-30 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.
  4. Take a martini glass and gently rinse it with a small amount of cold water to chill it slightly. Discard the excess water.
  5. Strain the mixed cocktail into the chilled martini glass using a cocktail strainer to catch any ice or muddled fruit.
  6. Add 2 dashes of bergamot bitters to the top of the cocktail.
  7. Take an orange twist and express the oils over the cocktail by holding it over the glass and giving it a quick twist. Then, drop the twist into the drink.
  8. Give the cocktail a gentle stir with the twist to incorporate the flavors.
  9. Your Orangery Martini is now ready to be enjoyed! Sip and savor the delightful blend of blood orange vodka, fruity liqueurs, and citrus juices.
